Social media can fuel anxiety and mental health issues – but what can we do about it? Compulsive Consumption is a site built to inform users on the psychological by-products of social media. These include decreased productivity, lowered self-esteem, and increased anxiety. By interacting with the site and content, users are able to reflect on their own relationship with technology and how it may be affecting their mental health, and discover some steps they can take to lessen the effects. Accompanying the site is a booklet providing additional research and sources for the project.
